Program details

Overview

General Arts & Science at Trent University is a Bachelor of Arts & Science (General) program available only to currently enrolled Trent students rather than through direct first-year admission. To pursue the credential, a student already at Trent must consult an Academic Advisor and apply to the Committee on Undergraduate Petitions (CUP) for approval, and must have completed a minimum of 10.0 university credits to be eligible to apply. The program lets students combine coursework across arts and science disciplines rather than completing a single-department major. Trent separately offers the Trent/Swansea Bachelor of Arts & Science - Medical dual degree program, a direct-entry pathway leading to a General Bachelor of Arts & Science (BAS) degree from Trent University together with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Swansea University; that dual-degree program is administered apart from the internal-petition General Arts & Science credential described here.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Available only to currently enrolled Trent University students. To earn the General degree, students must consult with an Academic Advisor and apply to the Committee on Undergraduate Petitions (CUP) for approval; applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of 10.0 university credits to be eligible to apply.
