Democratic Leadership Certificate

Trent University's Certificate in Democratic Leadership lets students deepen their knowledge of political leadership and receive formal recognition of their leadership training and proficiency for career advancement or further study. As a stand-alone credential it is open to applicants with the equivalent of Ontario Grade 12 or mature-student status; students already enrolled in an Honours or General degree in Political Studies may instead earn the certificate by completing 4.5 credits, including POST 2250H, a course from POST 1001H, 1002H, or PHIL 1200H, a course from POST 3850H or 4452H, and 3.0 further credits from a specified list. Students may graduate with only one of the Option in Leadership or the Certificate in Democratic Leadership. A Trent University transcript records all courses taken and grades received, and credits earned are transferable to the BA degree.
