BA/BS in Early Childhood Education

The Early Childhood Education programme is a four-year Bachelor of Arts in Human Services offered through a partnership between Tyndale University and Seneca Polytechnic. Students complete their first two years of study at Tyndale, then transfer to Seneca for a 10-month accelerated Early Childhood Education diploma, before returning to Tyndale to complete their final year and graduate with both a college diploma and a university degree. Coursework covers cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development in children from birth to age six, combined with practical experience through internship placements in childcare settings. Graduates who complete the Seneca diploma component may pursue registration as Early Childhood Educators with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, subject to the college's own licensing criteria. Instruction is delivered mostly in person, with some courses offered online.
