This Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Nursing offers a concentration in Advanced Clinical Expertise with Intervention, preparing registered nurses for advanced practice combining complex clinical care with a clinical-intervention research component. The 45-credit program pairs coursework in nursing theory and research methods with a thesis project that includes a clinical intervention. Full-time study takes a minimum of three trimesters, with a maximum of six trimesters full-time or nine trimesters part-time; some courses are delivered online alongside classroom instruction on the Montreal campus. The program draws on faculty expertise in areas such as aging, perinatal care, mental health, and chronic conditions, using a competency-based, small-group approach that can be adapted to the student's research interests, with an optional international pathway. Graduates are prepared to design and evaluate clinical interventions and to take on advanced-practice and leadership roles in nursing care and services.
