This 30-credit undergraduate certificate at UQAT builds knowledge and intervention skills in motor and sensory rehabilitation. Admission is open to holders of a Quebec college diploma (DEC) in fields such as orthotics-prosthetics, audioprosthetics, special education, respiratory therapy, nursing, physical rehabilitation, physiotherapy or social work, with some DEC holders granted 6 optional credits by prior-learning recognition; mature students (21+) with relevant university coursework or work experience may also apply. The curriculum covers anatomy and physiology of movement, ergonomics, professional health communication, the phenomenon of pain, neurophysiology and neuropsychology in rehabilitation, and functional capacities in physical disability, plus 12 credits of electives drawn from organizational behaviour, human-resources and occupational health and safety management, pathophysiology, pharmacotherapy, and toxicology. All courses are delivered through UQAT's online learning environment, with some also scheduled in-class depending on campus. Credits count toward a bachelor's degree through the cumulative-certificate route in the Sciences sector.

Admission Requirements: Admission is possible on three bases. College basis: hold a DEC in orthotics-prosthetics, audioprosthetics, special education, respiratory therapy, nursing, physical rehabilitation, physiotherapy or social work (DEC holders in physical rehabilitation, physiotherapy or orthotics-prosthetics techniques are granted 6 optional credits by prior-learning recognition). University-studies basis: be at least 21 and have passed a minimum of three university courses in a related field. Experience basis: be at least 21 with appropriate knowledge and relevant experience, assessed by tests and/or interviews, with work experience attested by an employer letter.
