This master's programme (45 credits, code 3414) is aimed at education professionals (teachers, administrators, and others) and at students with appropriate prior training who wish to work in education. Two concentrations are offered: Teaching, and School Administration, the latter for holders of UQAT's graduate diploma (DESS) in school-institution management. The programme deepens participants' knowledge to build critical thinking and analytical skills applied to problems in the education field, and equips students with approaches, methods, techniques, and tools to carry out an intervention project. It culminates in a written intervention report examining a problem closely tied to professional practice, and leads to the M. Éd. degree. It is delivered on campus at UQAT's Mont-Laurier and Rouyn-Noranda locations, with fall and winter intake.

Admission Requirements: Standard entry requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a cumulative average of at least 3.2/4.3, including at least 15 credits of education coursework or a set of education-related activities; candidates without this background may instead be admitted on relevant knowledge, training, and experience. All candidates must pass a selection interview and any additional written or oral examination the programme committee requires, to confirm fit with the programme's training objectives. Holders of UQAT's DESS in school-institution management who have not completed the optional-course block of the DESS-to-Master's pathway must complete three preparatory courses before continuing.
