This program is a 45-credit, research-oriented master's degree in nursing science offered within the Université du Québec network, leading to a Maîtrise ès sciences. It prepares registered nurses to conduct independent research in nursing, culminating in a 24-credit thesis (course MSI6130). Coursework combines advanced nursing theory and research methodology with supervised thesis work, preparing graduates for research, teaching, or advanced clinical roles, and serving as a pathway toward doctoral studies in nursing. Students may pursue the degree on a full-time or part-time basis at UQO's Gatineau or Saint-Jérôme campus. The program admits students in the fall, winter, and summer terms, and is intended for practising nurses who wish to build formal research expertise alongside their clinical experience.
