This Diplome d'etudes superieures specialisees (DESS) prepares current and aspiring leaders and managers in education across six areas of practice: pedagogical leadership, partnership management, strategic leadership, administrative management, human resources management, and inclusive and equitable diversity management. The 30-credit program develops transversal competencies in research methodology, communication, ethical decision-making, social justice, interpersonal relations, and change management, equipping graduates to lead pedagogical, administrative, and community initiatives within school boards, post-secondary institutions, and other education organizations. It is delivered entirely online, with admission offered in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms at the Gatineau and Saint-Jerome campuses. The credential targets professionals already working in or entering education leadership roles, combining theoretical grounding with applied skill development rather than an academic research thesis. Graduates gain the analytical and managerial tools needed to guide teams, manage organizational change, and address equity and inclusion issues within education systems.
