This Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology, described by Université Laval as the only French-language programme of its kind in Canada, focuses on the study of contemporary societies and cultures, their specific characteristics, transformations, and interrelations. The 90-credit programme, completed over three years of full-time study, includes mandatory practical training of 9 credits across three courses in the third year and offers ethnographic fieldwork opportunities. Students can pursue specializations in Indigenous Studies or Environment. Some courses are offered at a distance, with hybrid options for others. It is offered by Université Laval's Faculty of Social Sciences with admission sessions in fall and winter. The Faculty of Social Sciences also offers an international exchange profile for students who wish to complete part of the programme abroad.
