Overview
This professional Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme in sociology combines training in quantitative and qualitative research methods with an applied research internship. Students produce a substantial scientific report based on fieldwork, engaging with contemporary sociology seminars and multidisciplinary faculty expertise, and develop the ability to intervene autonomously on social problems. The 45-credit curriculum is completed over an estimated two years of full-time study, with part-time study also available. Courses are offered on a flexible schedule, during the day, in the evening, or at a distance. Admission is offered for the Fall term only.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in sociology, or an equivalent diploma; candidates from other disciplines may be admitted but may require preparatory coursework. A minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.33 scale is required. Non-francophone applicants must demonstrate French proficiency through the TCF test (minimum 400/699 on the mandatory sections and 10/20 on written expression) or completion of an equivalent French course with a grade of C or higher.
