Overview
This is a 45-credit Master of Arts in industrial relations at Universite Laval, providing advanced knowledge for intervention in the interdisciplinary field of work, employment, and professional life. Students analyze workplace problems using concepts and methods specific to industrial relations, combining coursework, research, and professional intervention. The curriculum builds capacity in human resources management, labour relations, workplace health and safety, and employment policy, considering the economic, legal, political, and social context of the employment relationship. Courses combine on-campus teaching with some offered at a distance, in hybrid, or comodal format. Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in industrial relations or an equivalent qualification, or a degree in a related social science discipline such as law, psychology, political science, economics, management, or sociology. A minimum average of 3.00 on a 4.33 scale is required. Non-francophone applicants must demonstrate French proficiency through a TCF tout public score of at least 400/699 on required sections and 10/20 in written expression, or equivalent coursework. English reading comprehension is necessary, and oral proficiency is strongly encouraged. A curriculum vitae and a supplementary admission form are required.
