Taught entirely in English, this bachelor's degree introduces modern and contemporary English-language literature, literary theory and linguistics. Students study major literary works across British, Irish, American, Canadian and postcolonial traditions while examining the historical and social contexts that shape them, alongside theoretical and applied linguistics. The 90-credit Bachelor of Arts runs approximately three years full-time and offers optional concentrations in English Linguistics and Language or English Literature. Notable features include exchange opportunities through Exchanges Canada and internship possibilities at the Morrin Centre, an English-language cultural organization in Quebec City. The programme builds critical reading, writing and analytical skills for careers in education, publishing, communications and further graduate study in English or linguistics.
