Overview

This bachelor's program prepares secondary school science and technology teachers. The 120-credit curriculum integrates pedagogy with biology, chemistry, and physics instruction concurrently throughout each year of study, combining robust theoretical training with extensive practical training. The program includes supervised teaching practicums in secondary classrooms. Admission is offered in the fall and winter terms, though students who begin in winter should expect not to be able to follow the normal course sequence in full. The program is completed over four years of full-time study, with some courses offered at a distance, hybrid, or comodal format. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Education (B. Ens.) qualifying them to teach science and technology at the secondary level in Quebec.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Quebec applicants need a DEC in sciences, letters and arts; or an International Baccalaureate in sciences; or a DEC in natural sciences; or another DEC with demonstrated achievement in specified biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics objectives.
