This thesis-based Master's in Social Work develops advanced research and intervention competencies in social work. The 45-credit programme combines mandatory and optional coursework with thesis research carried out under faculty supervision, and offers specialisation across areas such as family intervention and social justice. Students develop a critical understanding of social practices, organisational functioning, and the socio-political environment surrounding social work, examining problems affecting individuals, families, groups, and communities. The estimated full-time duration is two years, with a maximum of four years allowed for completion. A research supervisor must be secured during the applicant's first term of enrolment. The programme admits students in the fall term only. Graduates pursue research, policy, programme-evaluation, and advanced professional roles in social services.
