The Bachelor's in Theatre and Live Performance develops skills specific to contemporary theatre practice alongside an overview of the major movements and artists that have shaped its evolution in Quebec and internationally. The program addresses the blurring of boundaries between theatre and other live arts, including dance, music, performance, and circus, as well as intermedial forms that draw on emerging and digital technologies. Students build aptitudes in dramaturgy, directing, creation, production, distribution, and cultural mediation. The three-year, full-time program combines practical studio work with theoretical and historical study, preparing graduates for careers as performers, directors, creators, or arts professionals, or for further study in theatre and performance.
