Overview
This graduate diploma (DESS) prepares managers for roles in international cooperation and humanitarian action. Offered by Universite Laval's Faculty of Business Administration, the 30-credit programme trains students to plan, coordinate and manage projects and programmes for NGOs and international aid organizations, covering areas such as refugee response, sustainable development, education and microfinance alongside core management skills. Study can be completed in about one year full-time, with courses delivered partially or entirely at a distance through a hybrid format, including monthly or biweekly in-person sessions. The programme targets professionals already working in or moving into the humanitarian and international development sector, combining general management training with sector-specific project and programme management content. Graduates are prepared to take on coordination and management functions within international aid organizations and NGOs operating across humanitarian and development contexts.

Admission Requirements: Applicants need a bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.22 on 4.33 for first-cycle studies (candidates between 2.8 and 3.21 may apply but are not automatically admitted). Non-francophone applicants must demonstrate French proficiency, normally a TCF score of at least 600/699 with at least 14/20 on the written component, or equivalent coursework; English reading comprehension is recommended but not required. The application requires a CV and a two-page letter of motivation.
