This thesis-based Master of Arts in Counselling and Guidance Sciences, Research and Intervention concentration, combines a substantial applied practicum with original research training. The 45-credit program includes 12 credits of supervised practicum (60 days over two terms, two days per week) alongside 24 credits dedicated to thesis development, in which students define a research problem, build a theoretical framework, apply a research methodology, and present findings and conclusions. Courses are offered primarily on campus, with some available at a distance, in hybrid or comodal format, and the program can be completed full-time or part-time except for the practicum component. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in counselling/guidance sciences or a related field with at least 30 relevant humanities credits, and a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.33. Graduates combine applied counselling practice with research competencies, preparing them for advanced clinical roles or further doctoral study in education and human development.
