This research-based Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme in chemical engineering trains graduates in the design, modelling, and optimization of industrial processes. Research areas span biochemical and bioprocess engineering (including protein, virus, and vaccine production), process modelling, catalysis, nanoparticles, fuel cells, polymer processing and rheology, and environmental engineering topics such as air and water pollution remediation, greenhouse gas reduction, and critical-metals processing. Students complete graduate coursework and an original research project under faculty supervision, culminating in a thesis; full-time registration is required for at least two sessions. A research supervisor must be secured before applying. Instruction is delivered in French, with reading proficiency in English also required. The nominal full-time duration is two years. Admission is offered for the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms.
