Overview
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre is a four-year Honours degree combining training in vocal performance, acting, movement, and technical production. No audition is required to apply. Students gain practical experience performing, choreographing, designing, marketing, and co-leading annual mainstage productions, and perform with a live student orchestra. Coursework and productions take place in the Department of Theatre Studies' facilities, including the Arts Research Centre, Massey Hall, and War Memorial Hall. Graduates complete 20.00 credits across the four-year sequence to earn the degree. The curriculum combines practical artistic training with academic study in theatre history, theory, and production, preparing graduates for careers as performers, directors, choreographers, designers, stage managers, and producers in musical theatre and related performing arts fields.
