The Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science supports academic and applied research that contributes to research, industry partnerships, and government programs, across Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Human-Computer Interaction, Bioinformatics, Applied Modelling and Theory, and Hardware and Distributed Systems, with optional collaborative specializations in Artificial Intelligence and One Health. Students complete five courses, deliver a public seminar, conduct original research, and defend a thesis, preparing graduates for careers in data engineering, machine learning, software development, and user interface analysis. Delivery is on-campus, with admission offered for Fall, Winter, and Summer starts. Full-time students complete the degree in 24 months (up to six semesters), with the thesis component requiring at least two semesters. The program leads to a thesis-based Master of Science credential in Computer Science.

Admission Requirements: Applicants require a four-year honours degree in computer science, or a four-year honours degree in another discipline with a minor in computer science comprising at least 10 computer science courses, with a minimum average of 75% (B grade) during the previous two years of full-time university-level study. Required materials include academic transcripts, a CV/resume, a one-page statement of interest, and two academic references. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the university's English proficiency requirement.
