The Master of Science in Veterinary Pathology at the University of Saskatchewan's Western College of Veterinary Medicine trains students in diagnostic and research pathology across companion, food, and wildlife animal species. Faculty research spans diagnostic pathology, the pathogenesis of infectious disease in poultry and mammals, mucosal and innate immunity, viral oncogenesis, hematological disorders, wildlife diseases, and toxicopathology linked to environmental contaminants. Students may pursue a thesis-based general track, a thesis-based diagnostic pathology specialization, or a project-based option, working under faculty supervision on original research or applied case studies. The program also supports direct-entry and transfer pathways into the college's Ph.D. program for students who wish to continue toward doctoral study. Admission and enrolment are administered through the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
