Forensic Chemistry is offered as a Specialist (HBSc) at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Forensic science is described as the study of physical evidence in a modern legal context, or science in service to the courts, and the program emphasizes scientific analyses, laboratory skills, and field techniques while allowing students to specialize in a particular area. It is delivered through partnerships with organizations including the Centre of Forensic Sciences, the Office of the Chief Coroner for the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Police, and the RCMP, alongside numerous other police services and agencies worldwide. The chemistry-focused stream combines core forensic-science training with advanced chemistry coursework, preparing students for laboratory and investigative roles in forensic analysis. The Specialist is one of several forensic-science options offered at U of T Mississauga alongside Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Biology, and Forensic Psychology.
