The University of Windsor's Master of Laws (LLM) emphasizes scholarship in access to justice and transnational law alongside an experiential learning component. Students may complete a one-year, 12-month regular LLM, or a two-year, 24-month LLM with a Certificate in University Teaching and Learning. Both streams require completion of original, publishable research through a thesis of approximately 100 to 125 pages, submitted as a single document or as a set of related publishable papers. Students in the two-year teaching stream receive university teaching training in the first year and are designated Teaching Fellows in the second year, with an opportunity to complete a teaching practicum at the Faculty of Law. The program is delivered through the Faculty of Law and is designed for graduates seeking advanced legal scholarship combined with practical academic teaching experience.
