The Global Professional Master of Laws (GPLLM) is a one-year, full-time professional graduate program offered by the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto, with an option to extend over two years. The program is designed for experienced professionals, including internationally trained lawyers seeking a Canadian common law education relevant to licensing eligibility, and lawyers and non-legally trained professionals who require legal expertise in contemporary issues. Students choose one of three specialized concentrations: Business Law, Canadian Law in a Global Context, or Innovation, Law and Technology, and are taught by full-time faculty, industry experts, and visiting scholars. Full-time students complete the program over three sessions (Fall, Winter, and Summer), beginning in September, with classes including weekend sessions to accommodate working professionals. Admission requires a minimum B admission average; standardized tests are not required. The program leads to a Global Professional Master of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law.
