Overview

The Physical Education Diploma offers active instruction and hands-on learning. You’ll graduate with the skills to work in health, wellness, fitness and performance roles. This includes jobs in municipal parks and recreation programs and in other sports programming.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Entry requires a minimum grade of 'C+' in English 12 (or equivalent), a minimum grade of 'C+' in Anatomy and Physiology 12 (or equivalent), and Foundations of Mathematics 11 or Pre-Calculus 11 (or equivalent). Admission to the diploma is gated by admission to the Bachelor of Kinesiology, into which enrolment is limited; meeting or exceeding the minimum requirements does not guarantee a seat, and being admitted to the Bachelor of Kinesiology does not guarantee enrolment in specific courses. VIU does not publish a programme-specific English-language test score on this page; the English 12 requirement stands in its place. Students must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.0 ('C') to be eligible for the diploma on completion of 60 semester credit hours.
