At Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, Canada, Resource Management Officer Technology Diploma is offered as a diploma in Information Systems & Technology programme. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition is CAD 6,200 per total for local students.
The diploma prepares students for careers centred on protecting and managing Canada's fisheries, wildlife and parks resources. A two-week practicum at an off-campus site during the second year's fall semester is required, and students are encouraged to find summer work between first and second year with a resource management or protection agency, or in roles tied to natural-resource enhancement or monitoring.

Enrolment is limited, so meeting the minimums does not guarantee a seat.
