This Bachelor of Arts in History is a four-year undergraduate degree delivered in person at Wilfrid Laurier University's Brantford campus, with intakes in September, January, and May. The curriculum examines people, events, and ideas that have shaped history through archival research, museum work, and oral history projects, culminating in essays, podcasts, exhibits, and presentations. Students can pursue a specialization in Public History that incorporates community service-learning placements with heritage organizations in Brantford, Six Nations, Hamilton, and Toronto, and attend the People Make History lecture series, which brings historical figures to campus. A Teaching Minor provides a pathway into Laurier's Bachelor of Education program, and an optional six-year combined pathway pairs this degree with a Law (LLB) from the University of Sussex in the UK. Graduates pursue careers in education, museums, archives, heritage organizations, and public history.
