The Bachelor of Arts in Policing is delivered in a hybrid format, combining scheduled in-person classes with online coursework, and must be completed together with a second Wilfrid Laurier University BA major such as Psychology, Human Rights and Human Diversity, or Indigenous Studies. Developed in consultation with law enforcement agencies across Canada, the curriculum covers policing theory and practice alongside contemporary issues including diversity, ethics, and community safety. Course delivery includes both scheduled (synchronous) online sessions and self-paced (asynchronous) online components, in addition to in-person classes. The program is offered through Laurier's Waterloo and Brantford campuses and normally takes four years of full-time study, leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree combining Policing with the paired major. Graduates pursue careers in policing, law enforcement, security, and public safety administration, or continue to graduate study in criminology, law, or related fields.
