Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Culture explores global faiths and their cultural interactions, examining topics such as human rights, religious freedoms, and multicultural coexistence, and the role of religion in shaping societies. Coursework draws on history, ethics, and cultural studies to analyze how religious traditions influence contemporary social and political life. The program is delivered primarily in person through face-to-face classes on campus and can be completed full-time or part-time. Students may pursue an accredited co-op stream that adds paid work experience to the degree. The Honours program normally takes four years of full-time study to complete and leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree, preparing graduates for careers and further study in social justice, intercultural relations, education, law, and public service.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario high school applicants to the standard program are assessed on an average admission range in the mid 70s, with English at a minimum of 60%; applicants to the co-op stream are assessed on a low-80s average with the same English requirement. Applicants from outside Ontario are assessed on equivalent courses from their province or territory. International applicants are assessed on the same average ranges, with senior/Grade 12 English at a minimum of 60%, and English-language proficiency documentation may be required.
