First Year Exploration is offered at York University's Glendon campus for students who are not yet ready to choose a program in first year. Students take a broad first-year course load across Glendon's bilingual arts and science offerings, supported by academic advising, before declaring a major by the end of the year; French-language courses are recommended alongside the exploratory course load. The option leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc), depending on the major eventually chosen, and is delivered in small classes. It suits students who want to begin university study while still deciding on a discipline, rather than committing to a specific program at the point of application. Entry is available in Fall and Winter for first year only, with no Summer intake.
