This program leads to a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechatronics Engineering at York's Keele Campus, offered full-time or part-time. Mechatronics blends mechanical design, electronics, control and software into one integrated discipline, following a design-and-build spine that grows in complexity each year, moving from fundamentals in mechanics, circuits and programming toward advanced topics including embedded systems, control, robotics, machine perception and IoT connectivity. Entry is available in fall and winter for both first-year and upper-year applicants; summer entry is not offered. The program suits students interested in building integrated mechanical-electronic-software systems who want a hands-on, project-based engineering education, preparing graduates for careers or further study in robotics, automation, embedded systems and related engineering fields.
