This program examines the effects of health policies, health systems, healthcare programs and related practices, norms, organization and decision-making on health outcomes, which are often inequitable. It offers MA and PhD degrees with two specialized fields: Health Policy and Equity, and Health System Management and Health Data Analytics. The MA runs three terms of full-time study, while the PhD is a longer, research-intensive degree. Students work with a supervisor identified during the application process and complete a program combining coursework with research training focused on health systems and policy analysis. The program is offered through York University's Faculty of Graduate Studies and School of Health Policy and Management, drawing on faculty whose work spans health equity, health system design, and quantitative health data analysis, preparing graduates for research, policy and management roles across the health sector.
