BA/BS in Französisch

The Bachelor programme in French at Bielefeld University is structured in modules that each combine several courses over one or two semesters. Each module ends with a module examination, usually linked to one of the courses. Students first build a subject foundation through four basic modules covering linguistics, literary studies, cultural and media studies, and language practice. In the second half of the programme they take a language practice and internationalisation module and two elective profile modules. The programme concludes with a Bachelor thesis. The module handbooks and subject-specific regulations are linked from the page, and the checklists prepared by the advising office give a route overview for the core and minor subject variants. Students can check each module content in the handbook before choosing their elective profile modules.
