MA/MS in Geschichtswissenschaft

The Master of Education in History at Bielefeld University continues a bachelor history subject and is designed for teacher training. The page sets out the variants: a continuation of the core subject or the minor subject for Gymnasium and Gesamtschule teaching, and a variant for Haupt-, Real-, Sekundar- und Gesamtschule. Admission depends on taking part in a compulsory counselling procedure and holding a first higher-education degree in a suitable programme. Bielefeld graduates with an approved subject combination and a relevant profile are admitted directly, and the page refers external applicants to separate access information. Students whose profile does not match the subject can complete supplementary studies after starting the master programme. The page links to the relevant information for each variant.
