MA/MS in Germanistik

The Master of Education in German for Gymnasium and Gesamtschule teaching continues the core subject from the Bachelor programme and prepares students for school teaching. It deepens academic knowledge and looks at the content from a school-oriented and subject-didactic perspective. A central part of the programme is the practical phase, with preparatory, accompanying and follow-up courses tailored to the subject of German. The page also presents other master options offered by the faculty, including linguistics and interdisciplinary media studies. Students who already hold a Bachelor degree in German Studies or a comparable subject can use the page to compare the available master routes before applying. The page lists the master routes as separate entries with their own module lists and regulations, so students can review each route requirements separately.
