Overview

Business Administration is a three-year BSc programme of 180 ECTS credits in the Department of Business and Economics. The main teaching language is Icelandic, although some courses are offered in English and are listed in the course catalogue. Students are trained as specialists, managers and future leaders, with a professional outlook, encouragement of entrepreneurial initiative and a firm academic grounding in the central business fields of accounting, finance, marketing, management and economics. Graduates are expected to combine theories, models and both quantitative and qualitative methods, to think critically and creatively about local, national and international business questions, and to turn ideas into social, cultural or financial value. The structure includes elective courses and a final project, and an internship is possible.
