This marine transport engineering programme trains engineers for the maritime industry, transport companies, and ship design and construction firms, applying decarbonisation and digitalisation technologies while weighing economic, environmental and social impact. Core subjects run from material engineering, higher mathematics and engineering graphics with CAD through theoretical mechanics, machine elements theory and electrical engineering to quality management and measurements, closing with a bachelor's thesis. Students choosing the Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding specialisation add hydromechanics, welding engineering and ship statics, training as ship designers and project managers for shipbuilding, repair and conversion companies. Assessment uses cumulative evaluation built from tests, individual work and laboratory defences, alongside final examinations and the defence of the final project. Graduates can design, build and modernise ships for cleaner and more digital shipping, optimising energy efficiency, marine fuel use and propulsion systems, and manage related engineering projects and risks.
