BA/BS in Cosmetology

This programme prepares cosmetologists to deliver beauty and wellness services while critically evaluating their own practical experience and continuing to learn as the field changes. Learning outcomes include understanding how internal and external factors affect skin condition, applying occupational safety, hygiene and ergonomics requirements, examining what cosmetic materials and tools are meant to do and how they perform, building short- and long-term treatment plans, and carrying out empirical research to support professional decisions. The 120-credit field curriculum covers anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, dermatovenerology, cosmetic chemistry, decorative and general cosmetology, massage techniques, pharmacology, hardware cosmetology, and entrepreneurship including AI and digital tools, with forty-two credits of practice spanning makeup, manicure and pedicure, product consultancy, and customer-facing services before a final placement and graduation paper. A training base equipped for practical work and spa or water treatments supports hands-on learning. Graduates can work as salon, spa, or visage-studio cosmetologists, as consultants in cosmetic stores, or run their own beauty business, and may continue to second-cycle study if they meet entry requirements.
