Development of Online Business Systems

This programme equips computer-engineering professionals to develop and test online business systems and apply teamwork tools within IT projects. Core study covers industrial safety, discrete mathematics, programming fundamentals, and internet technology combined with databases, with elective options covering mobile programming, multimedia and computer design, and data storage and mining. Students learn to collect and analyse information from various sources to solve professional problems, design, program and document online business systems and data structures according to given specifications, document and version-control software code, test it, and communicate in the state language and at least one foreign language within a team. Teaching combines lectures, laboratory and independent work, tutorials, case studies, creative workshops and professional practice, assessed through exams, tests, oral questioning and presentation of reports and term-paper projects. Four practice placements, including a final one, make up a large share of the programme's credits, and graduates can work as programmers in IT businesses or technology units of other sectors, with their qualification allowing further study at a higher-education institution.
