Master of Science in Accounting (Data and Analytics)

The Master of Science in Accounting (Data and Analytics) trains accounting and finance graduates to work with data. Coursework spans analytics, handling of data, visualisation and machine-learning methods, with the goal of turning information into insight that supports business decisions. Students also practise using generative and agentic AI in accounting and finance work, with attention to responsible AI use and professional judgement. Teaching follows the SMU-X approach, in which students tackle real industry projects with guidance from faculty and industry mentors. Full-time study runs 12 to 18 months, and part-time study takes 24 months. Applicants should hold a good bachelor's degree with a background in accounting, finance, statistics or business.
