AA/AS in Human Services, General

Human Services prepares students to assist young people, households and older adults across many settings. Topics include mental health, disability services and elder care. Possible jobs include case management, crisis response, housing counseling and youth work. Students arrange field internships by contacting the program coordinator for orientation and clearance. Students can build an education plan with a counselor, and the college lists financial aid and application help on the same page. The subject belongs to the college's Social and Behavioral Sciences pathway, where advisors help students map out courses that fit their academic and career plans. Links on the program page lead to application steps, class schedules and financial aid. Students unsure where to begin can request guidance from the college's counseling or career and technical education advisors.
