AA/AS in Communication and Media Studies

This program gives students a working grasp of communication, media and technology. It supplies a base for continued study and for work in areas like publicity, advertising, news and broadcasting. Students strengthen speaking and writing, examine communication across cultures and the handling of disputes, and study how media shape views of the world. Advisors and career coaches help them explore related fields, and a list of electives lets them tailor the plan. The program belongs to the School of Business & Legal Studies at Bucks, and a suggested plan assumes about fifteen credit hours each semester. Since this is a transfer major, students should check in early with the Transfer Services Office to learn which courses their intended four-year college will accept. Prospective students can ask the school office for questions about scheduling, course prerequisites and how the program fits their goals.
