Program details

Overview

The first stage of a computer science bachelor's degree is covered here, giving students a base for junior-level courses after they transfer. Students progress through a programming sequence, learn Python, database design and discrete mathematics, and study calculus. Graduates can design algorithms, write and test code, track down faults, document their work and examine a business problem to plan how its data should be managed. The program belongs to the School of STEM at Bucks, and a suggested plan assumes about fifteen credit hours each semester. Since this is a transfer major, students should check in early with the Transfer Services Office to learn which courses their intended four-year college will accept. Prospective students can ask the school office for questions about scheduling, course prerequisites and how the program fits their goals.
