AA/AS in Engineering Technologies/Technicians, General

This applied degree readies students to seek technician jobs across engineering technology fields. Laboratory-based and business courses build technical and communication skills for immediate employment. Graduates apply mathematics, physics and measurement to technology problems and use the design process on components and systems. An optional final semester in nanotechnology, taken through Penn State, alters the course order and the credit total. The program belongs to the School of STEM at Bucks, and a suggested plan assumes about fifteen credit hours each semester. The major emphasizes practical preparation for work. Anyone who later wants to transfer should talk with the Transfer Services Office, since each four-year college decides what it will accept. Prospective students can ask the school office for questions about scheduling, course prerequisites and how the program fits their goals.
