AA/AS in Data Science

This major covers the opening stage of a four-year data science degree. The field applies hardware and software to very large data sets, with attention to efficient algorithms and statistical analysis. Courses include programming in Python, database design, a data science course, statistics and three calculus courses. Graduates analyze data with computing theory and mathematical models and communicate their solutions effectively. The program belongs to the School of STEM at Bucks, and a suggested plan assumes about fifteen credit hours each semester. Since this is a transfer major, students should check in early with the Transfer Services Office to learn which courses their intended four-year college will accept.
