Fraud and Financial Crime Investigation (FFCI) Microcredential introduces investigative techniques, including forensic accounting strategies, data mining, forensic interviewing, and bank account transaction analysis. These skills are essential for anyone interested in fighting economic crime and those in finance detecting fraudulent transactions.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: BCIT runs no formal application for this micro-credential; students register for the required courses and, once all are complete, email the program contact with their name, student number and mailing address to receive the credential. Recommended for success, rather than mandatory, is English proficiency at BCIT's Category 3 level (English Studies 12 at 50% or equivalent), some education or experience in business, accounting, or regulatory or law-enforcement fields, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Most elective courses carry no prerequisite, but the required sequence does: XFSC 3025 and XFSC 3030 each require 60% in XFSC 3020, and XFSC 3035 requires 60% in XFSC 3025. No minimum GPA or standardized English/French test score is published. International applicants may take the program but are not eligible for a study permit through it.

Openings are 9:00 am and deadlines 11:59 pm Pacific Time, moving to the next business day on a weekend. Admission is not institute-wide rolling, but many programs work first-qualified-first-accepted and can fill before the posted deadline, and several programs, mostly in Health Sciences, trades and graduate studies, run entirely separate application tables of their own. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
