Overview
The Agile Development Associate Certificate includes data modelling and best practices in business analysis for IT systems design. You'll receive significant preparation to challenge the Professional Scrum Master, PSM Certification. You'll gain hands-on experience using Agile, Scrum, Kanban and Lean techniques, online in real time.
Agile methods focus on building teams with interpersonal communication skills. By the time you graduate, you will also develop foundational computer science skills in data modelling, business analysis, and IT systems design.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires COMP 1002 or equivalent hands-on knowledge of configuration and file management on a Windows 10 PC. The English-language requirement sits in BCIT's Category 2 band, met by English Studies 12 at 67% or equivalent, or by Category 2 international scores (IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 86 with no section under 20, PTE Academic 60 with no skill under 60, or Duolingo 120 with no integrated subscore under 95), per BCIT's institution-wide English Language Proficiency page. BCIT expects applicants to bring prior post-secondary education and work experience, strong teamwork and above-average English communication skills, and the maturity to commit 10 or more hours per week outside class.
