Micro-credential in Fundamentals of Virtual Containers Micro-credential is a micro-credential in Cloud Computing & DevOps programme offered by British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby, Canada. The programme runs for 1 year, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition is CAD 350 per total for local students.
The micro-credential focuses on containerization technologies and the systems used to orchestrate them. It works through the basics of building and maintaining containerized applications, with an emphasis on scalable, cloud-native approaches. Participants learn about container orchestration tools used to manage complex applications and services within distributed, scalable environments, including how applications in containers can be deployed, scaled, and managed across multiple nodes in a cloud setting.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: This is a Flexible Learning micro-credential rather than a formally admitted program: BCIT states no separate application is required and no English or French language proficiency requirement is set. Applicants are recommended, though not required, to have basic knowledge of Linux and networking before starting the first course, CITX 1010; the second course, CITX 1020, requires 50% in CITX 1010 as an internal course prerequisite. No portfolio, interview, minimum-GPA, or immunisation condition is stated for entry. Students complete the required courses and then email the program contact with their name, student number and mailing address to receive the credential. The program is open to international applicants studying from outside Canada or holding valid Canadian status other than a study permit; those on a study permit are not eligible for this program.

These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
