Overview
Explore the liberal arts at your own pace Designed to introduce you to core subjects within the liberal arts, this program allows you to explore where your talents and passions lie. You’ll gain a background in areas like Indigenous studies, psychology, sociology, and anthropology. You’ll develop critical and digital literacies, as well as academic research and writing skills. Working with your Program Coordinator, you’ll customize your education with elective and general education courses while enjoying multiple delivery modes. Throughout the program, you will learn from a variety of professors and explore potential career paths in law and justice, community services, humanities, the arts, business, technology, skilled trades, engineering, and much more.

Admission Requirements: Cambrian's General Arts and Science – Diploma page requires, for graduates of the current Ontario curriculum, a 30-credit Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, or mature-student standing, including grade 12 English at the College (C) or University (U) level. The programme page does not itself quote international test scores, but Cambrian's institution-wide English-proficiency scale for diploma-level programmes, published on its admissions site, applies: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band under 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 (550 paper-based), PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo English Test 105-115. Applicants missing the academic prerequisite may complete the college's free, self-paced Academic Upgrading; no GPA minimum, portfolio or interview is stated on either page.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for programmes starting September 2027 the application opens 26 September 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which applications are assessed first-come, first-served while seats remain. Cambrian's own 2026-27 Academic Schedule A separately sets a Day-3 last-day-to-apply cut-off for every program each term - 13 January 2027 for the January 2027 intake and 12 May 2027 for the May 2027 intake - with transcripts in hand and the non-refundable deposit ready before Day 5. International applicants apply through the OCAS International Application Service (up to three Cambrian programmes) or an authorised agent and are reviewed individually; Cambrian publishes no fixed international closing date.
