Master of Theological Studies

The Master of Theological Studies at Canadian Mennonite University is offered through the Graduate School of Theology and Ministry and requires a minimum of 60 credit hours. Core coursework spans biblical studies, theology, history of Christianity and practical theology, giving students a broad academic grounding in Christian theological disciplines rather than the ministry-practicum focus of CMU's professional degrees. Admission requires a baccalaureate degree from a recognized university or college with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 ('B'), and students must maintain a graduating average of 3.0 with no course grade below a C+. Courses are drawn from the same faculty and offerings as CMU's other theology graduate programs. The degree suits students pursuing further theological study, teaching, research or deeper theological formation.
